This coastal retreat is a wonderfully cozy home with 2 bedroom 2 bath bath comfortable beds & spacious rooms. The master & great room offer views of the Sea of Cortez. The entire roof is a tiled terrace complete with BBQ grill, seating for 6 at dining table with perfect views of the sea for sun/moon rise & the mountains for sunset. Additional terrace seating available for viewing the amazing stars/milky. Turquoise Cushions are kept in the garage so they won’t blow away between guests. WiFi accessible.
We are in a “remote” location in that we are not in city water or septic. So as our guests it does require attention to a few details. Water is trucked in and sewage is trucked out. So in order to make sure that the water pump is work efficiently and reduce waste we ask our guests to kindly turn the pump off at the end of their stay and for guests to turn the pump on. This is done easily with a flip of the breaker which is clearly labeled in the garage electrical panel near the washer and dryer.
We remind our guests it is a good idea to be conservative on the water as beside being kind to the earths resources, you don’t want to run out of water during your stay. The first load of water is provided and is topped off prior to your visit. When the red tape on the skinny PVC pipe at the top of the water tank reaches the top of the tank you have about 200 gallons left. This is a perfect time to call for water!
We have one of the best beaches in the area which is never crowded and often our guests brag about having the beach to themselves. As you can see from the pictures we are close to the water to see it and hear it. In two short minutes your toes will be in the water.
La Terraza has excellent views from the great room, patios and terrace. Enjoy the tranquility but with town close by (about 15 minutes) The proximity to the sea, no crowds, quad trails close and mountain hiking too. Not to mention the amazing neighbors.
There are security cameras at the entrance in the garage.
The kitchen is well stocked down to the sushi kit and so much more!

If you happen to run out IMMEDIATELY turn off the pump. As you do not want to incur the cost of a new pump and installation which can be upwards of $500 USD.
Water is typically delivered within a few hours but never after dark. Checking upon arrival and in the middle of every day is a good idea.
Keeping the critters away is imperative so when you need to dispose of your trash kindly drive it south just 1.5 km down the road to just inside Villa Alejandrinas where you will see a trailer where trash can be left if bagged. They also recycle. A 10 peso tip per bag at the guard station box is most appreciated and is customary in Mexico.
Thank you for not smoking in on or around our home for the sake of my asthma and our future guests. The candles are for decorative purposes only and we ask you not to light them or even to bring your own to use for safety reasons. However if the electricity goes out there are battery operated lights In each room for your use. I also have some flame free candles to use for ambiance. Remember to call if you need anything and to be sure and contact us the minute something is in need of repair as it might take a minute to get things going right again. Now go make some amazing memories!
- If guest disregard the non smoking house rule an additional cleaning fee of $200 will incur.
- Tampering with the security cameras located in the garage and the front entrance will forfeit your entire $200 security deposit.
-Pet hair feces and urine left in/on the house or left outside will immediate forfeit your security deposit.
- Parties allowed - with permission and subject to additional fees and cleaning fees.
- Due to the remote location I can not guarantee the quality of the internet service.
- Any booking that is for commercial purposes will have to have prior approval for it's purpose and will be at a renegotiated price depending on the number of people and amount of use of the property.
- The candles are for decorative purposes only. Thank you for not lighting.
- This is a non smoking (of any kind) property.
- Only overnight guests who are listed. No third party reservations permitted, and no parties without prior approval (extra fees apply).
- Please note the septic system in Mexico requires all paper goods and foreign objects to be placed in the waste basket beside the toilet. You definitely want to avoid a plumbing/septic charge.
- You will have access to the whole house and washer and dryer but I’m sorry the rest of the garage is inaccessible at this time
- There is a wide selection of pillows from very soft to firm. Please choose which ones suit you, but kindly remove the decorative pillow shams before use.
